Chesterfelt Ltd was established in 1978 and manufactures and distributes bituminous waterproofing products throughout the UK. The company prides itself on its ability to provide a quality service in an industry where reliability is paramount.

Chesterfelt has developed a comprehensive portfolio of bituminous products, including torch-on, self-adhesive and pour and roll flat roof membranes, along with underslating and eaves protection products for pitched roofing applications.

The company operates from a self-contained manufacturing and warehousing facility in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This central location provides excellent access to the national road network and maintains high quality service levels to a wide geographical area.

In February 2003 Chesterfelt was awarded ISO 9001 (2000 Quality Management System) Accreditation and in July 2013 it received CE type approval EN13707.

In 2023, Chesterfelt as acquired by Soprema Group.

With UK manufacturing and exceptional customer support, Chesterfelt are committed to ongoing product development programmes which will offer the roofing distributor, contractor, and specifier the choice and flexibility that they need.

Flat Roofing

Chesterfelt’s extensive range of products include bituminous waterproofing membranes for flat roofing applications. Many of these advanced membranes incorporate SBS modified bitumen, providing low temperature flexibility, high temperature stability and a longer lifespan. These products are typically used in multilayer systems and are ideal for both new build or refurbishment projects.

Pitched Roofing

Chesterfelt also offer a range of specialist solutions for pitched roof applications. This includes traditionally manufactured products for use on underslating and eaves protection projects.

Sectional Buildings

Within Chesterfelt’s garden and leisure buildings range are carefully selected bituminous products which are used to protect a wide variety of portable buildings including sheds, stables, home offices and summerhouses. The range include both traditional fibre-based shed felt products along with SBS modified and polyester reinforced membranes which offer additional performance properties.

The Highest Standards of Quality

Chesterfelt is a company dedicated to continual production improvement and is a fully certified BS EN ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems (QMS). Indeed we have the accolade of being one of the first British bituminous manufacturers to achieve this standard, having been granted certificate no. QO6061 back in 1999. In addition, Chesterfelt products are CE and UKCA marked to EN 13707:2004+A4:2009.
